Moon Ufo lenses offer a central optical zone of variable diameter and excellent visual quality and a peripheral zone without dioptric power. Specially designed to reduce the "tube" effect typical of high myopic power lenses.

Lenses are available in organic material in indices: 1.5, 1.6, 1.67 and Photochromic Transitions® 1.5, 1.6, 1.67. The new "Free Form" technology, in addition to providing the user with excellent visual comfort, makes it possible to significantly reduce thicknesses at the edge, thus also improving the overall appearance of the eyewear.
Lenses can be constructed with central lenticule of 4 different diameters: 35, 40, 45, 50 mm. The end result obtained is that the smaller the lenticule diameter, the thinner the lenses at the edge. However, the choice must be made according to the gradation to be made for the right balance between aesthetics and comfort due to the more or less reduced optical zone of the lenticule.
Unlike traditional "fitted" lenses, these lenses look better aesthetically (in that the classic "hole" is not noticeable) and can be constructed with very curved outer bases, thus adapting to various types of frames, including "wrap-around" ones.
The ability to transform curves, typical of Free Form technology, is exploited in Moon Ufo lenses to achieve special thickness reduction effects in the high ametropia range, while maintaining a useful vision area compatible with the user's visual needs.
This lens makes it possible to achieve with organic materials the same results previously achievable only with high-index glass lenses, thus ensuring undoubted advantages in terms of portability, light weight and product safety.
