
Anti-blue light treatment, what is it for?
During the course of every day we are used to surrounding ourselves with hi-tech screens which, inevitably, end up straining our eyes. The blue light emanating from everyday electronic devices such as computers, tablets and smartphones can also be the cause of insomnia, altering the normal cycle of wakefulness and sleep.
Blue light, whose rays are characterized by having a much higher frequency than UV rays, is not visible to the naked eye but important precautions must be taken to prevent it from triggering discomfort and problems. We have said that blue light comes mainly from electronic devices: this happens because modern digital devices are backlit thanks to the use of cold light LED lamps. The latter, compared to incandescent lamps, are able to emit ten times more percentage of blue light.
The negative consequences of the excessive use of hi-tech accessories
Protection from blue light is essential because – otherwise – prolonged use of technological devices can significantly reduce the frequency with which blinking occurs. The consequence of this is eye fatigue which is associated, most of the time, with an annoying headache. Dryness, muscle pain in the shoulders and neck, a very high sensitivity to light are other symptoms that are linked to poor prevention. Sleep disorders, in particular, can affect children and young people in general.
Proper prevention can be successfully carried out by using computer glasses, which are equipped with special PC lenses that expressly aim to reject the action of blue light from electronic accessories. They are called this because most of the time they are worn by people who are used to working at home or in the office with the computer. Thanks to the anti-blue light lenses, it becomes possible to block/absorb the light that emanates from the devices: the effect of the rays is reduced, limiting the consequences of excessive exposure. Screen protectors can be used in everyday life with a very specific purpose: thanks to them you can correct vision defects such as, for example, myopia. Of course, it is necessary to use these protective glasses by implementing a correct routine, which requires you to gradually take breaks in the case of prolonged exposure (such as that for work).

The anti-blue light treatment can be used both by wearers of prescription glasses and by people who do not have problems in this sense. Here are the benefits you can get and how to achieve them:
- reflections and glare are reduced, increasing overall visual comfort ;
- It is a good idea to take short breaks every twenty minutes of using the PC, especially at work: a little eye gymnastics is useful to drive away the appearance of myopia;
- drinking a lot is equally important, as it avoids the risk of dryness;
